He disciplines those He loves. Our Father’s love consists of comfort as well as correction. He knows our struggles, He knows our pain, He knows our weaknesses and He understands our hearts.
All 7.594 billion (Google estimate) hearts that are currently beating.
And the hearts of those who were and of those yet to be. He understands each and every one of us.
Let that sink in.
His knowledge extends to every occurrence of eternity past, present and future. There is NOTHING hidden from Him and no discovery or situation could surprise Him. He literally….knows.it.all.
All knowing and all loving.
HE is OUR Father.
So, when He allows us to bear the weight and pain of hardship, it is not because He has abandoned or forgotten us. Quite the contrary. He’s moulding and preparing us for what’s ahead. He’s refining us Beloved so be encouraged! The struggle you’re facing, that seemingly unmovable mountain before you, the ache of that loss – He has a divine purpose for it all.
Father, it’s astounding that even the greatest sorrows reflect Your love. Please deepen our trust in You as we walk through the valleys. Thank You that You’re with us in these valleys, leading each of us in a different pace, along varied routes, but ultimately to the same destination – oneness with You. Keep us from comparison please Lord and enable us to rejoice in Your loving Hand of discipline.
You know best and in that fact we rest.
